How we can support you

We help you understand your NDIS budget and what kinds of supports you can access using the NDIS reasonable and necessary guidelines. 

We work with you to:

• Understand how your funding is managed

• How to access services and supports

• What other requirements may need to be met including quotes, what can or cannot be claimed, how much can be claimed and when service bookings are required.

We will work with you to:

• Set up your NDIS portal

• Find providers, services and supports in your local area to help you pursue your goals including community, government and funded supports.

• Explain service Agreements

• Decide how you would like your supports and services to be delivered.

• Modify your supports as your needs change. 

We will work with you to:

• Explore providers who meet your needs

• Set up service agreements and service bookings with your chosen providers

• Help you understand and negotiate what supports and services you want and how they are delivered. 

• Support you to understand what providers can and cannot charge.

• Assist and support you when problems may arise.

• Do regular check ins to evaluate how well your current supports are working, track your progress and assist with increasing or changing supports when needed.

We help you build skills and develop confidence to implement your NDIS plan yourself.  ​

We will work  with you to:

• understand all aspects of your NDIS plan 

• understanding different ways to exercise your choice and control

• Communicate about how you want supports delivered

• Plan for unexpected changes in your life

• Use NDIS systems and processes

• Get the most our of your NDIS plan

As your support Coordinator, we work towards creating opportunities for you to do these activities more independently.

As your Support Coordinator, we will provide reports to the National Disability Insurance Agency to demonstrate how we have assisted you in your NDIS journey.

These reports include:

• A plan implemention report at the start of your new plan

• A midterm report outlining where you are and what you are working on next. 

• A plan review report to support your new plan including recommendations for your next NDIS plan. 

We will work with you before, during and after your NDIS plan review meeting.  

Questions we explore to assist with the plan review:

• What progress have you made in working towards your goals?

• What worked and didn't work for you?

• What would you like to explore, change or improve in your next NDIS plan?

• What evidence do we need to bring to your plan review meeting including progress reports from providers.

To do this we:

• Only make recommendations and provide supports and services as per your individual needs.

• declare and avoid any real or perceived conflicts of interest

• avoid engaging in, participating in or promoting sharp practices (Act unethically)

• Comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct.

Support Coordinators do not:

• make judgements about the adequacy of your NDIS plan

• provide transport for participants

• undertake plan administration or plan management

• organise support rostering

• undertake advocacy

• provide disability supports

As Support Coordinators, we act under the legislation of the NDIS.
